The module has built-in LCN bus interface (no need for LCN-PK) and a power adapter. It is attached to the LCN installation exactly like the other LCN modules, directly to power lines and data line. To achieve full functionality the module should also be connected to the Internet using Fast Ethernet connector.

DOMIQ software operates on the built-in 32-bit ARM processor. It is possible to upgrade the software of any DOMIQ module either automatically or manually.

DOMIQ uses ThreadX realtime operating system. Specific functional domains are handled by a separate Lua virtual machines which communicate with each other using asynchronous messages and event channels. For sophisticated LCN installations it is possible to quickly program any desired functionality in Lua. 

The standard functionality includes:

• Web server with user friendly UI for system configuration: parameters change, timers, events redefinition, state monitoring, configuration of menu structure for DOMIQ/Remote application
• Real time clock with battery back-up with automatic time synchronization and daylight saving time changes
• Unlimited number of timers, conditional execution
• Reaction to LCN events, also conditional execution
• Execution of any command sequences after receiving “load scene” and “send keys” commands from LCN
• Remote access for LCN installators via LCN-PRO (LCN-PCHK binary protocol)
• Any number of iPhone/iPod Touch devices with DOMIQ/Remote application for the remote control of the LCN installation (requires connecting to WiFi Access Point and the license)
• Supported Internet protocols: IPv4, DHCP, AutoIP, DNS, HTTP, SNTP, FTP, Telnet.

The DOMIQ/Base module controls operation and provides power to all DOMIQ extension modules.
